You may have chosen to search in Boulder Colorado for your new home because you have heard wonderful things about our community. Well, you’re right! Boulder nestled next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains has extensive outdoor activities like climbing, mountain biking, hiking and skiing.
Our community also prides itself on being in the forefront of the ecological movement. Home to headquarters of many of the Natural Products Industries leaders (Wild Oats, Celestial Seasonings, New Hope Natural Media, White Wave Tofu, etc.) our town offers many healthy restaurants like Sunflower & The Kitchen and 3 Natural Groceries with a 4th on its way.
But the eco way of life doesn’t need to stop with the way you eat and exercise, you can live in an eco home as well. There are many builders in Boulder that specialize in retro fitting solar panels onto houses or starting from scratch to build your eco home. In this community you often hear the buzzwords ‘xeriscape’ (landscaping that requires little to no water) and ’solar energy’, because living in the Southwest, we have plenty of days of sunshine during the calendar year.
