The Sky is Falling

Hardly. The Boulder market in all segments remains strong and vibrant.

For starter homes all the way up to luxury houses, the activity is strengthening.

Just yesterday two listings around $4 million both went under contract. One of the properties was only on the market for two weeks, and the other for over a year.

Our town had the right idea! Assemble Open Space for citizen use. Create industries that are quieter and non-polluting. Strive for smaller carbon footprints, and utilize green building.

The University of Colorado is a constant that helps our local economy stay vibrant, and our town ‘young at heart’. We may be an anomaly in the nation, and the ‘anti-bubble’ but most of our Real Estate listings are flying off the shelf!

We need to see more local statistics published and not articles run locally that talk about markets other than Boulder. We have a good thing here, and for this the Real Estate community is thankful!

I started Walnut Realty in 1975.  We have been at this location, in the downtown Walnut II Building, the entire time.  We are a landmark of downtown Boulder business and plan on being here for the duration of time.  We are fiercely independent and pride ourselves on our one on one personal service.    

We are totally serious about the business, however, looking at houses should not be a drugery and should be fun!  My agents are a group that create the postive dynamics of cooperation, productivity and cohesivness.  We obviously rely on the Multiple Listing Service, but many a deal is struck by my agents having inside knowledge of available properties that can help you get the house you want.  Some people call this Boulder’s Undermarket.  My crew has their ear to the ground and are good at bringing properties to the market.  Working downtown adds a very fun element to our working lives, which we feel carries over to our customers and clients.  I hope you enjoy the Walnut Realty experience.

Statistics show that most people use the internet in the purchase of their home. 

We have spent time and energy creating our domain page.  Even though we have tried to make the domain fun and full of information and links, we created the blog to give us an opportunity to keep the information even more timely and up to date.  We would like you to use this blog as a fun and interactive way to stay abreast of current real estate trends. 

Boulder’s market is very competitive and well-priced attractive properties sell quickly and often with multiple offers.  One use of this blog will be to post featured properties that are newly listed.  We will post market conditions and statistics as well as articles about posssible new legislation or ordinances that affect your property or purchase of a home. 

There will be guest articles from our Brokers highlighting current market phenomenon.  Our blog is a genuine effort to encourage social networking with our past and current clients.  We invite our blogging public to make relevant submitalls or comments.  Use this blog as a long term tool as you investigate properties, cities and lifestyles.
